THANK YOU NOTES
Did you know that 90% of the people who interview for jobs never bother to send a thank you note? How important is it?
Plenty! A thank you note may actually be the deciding factor in whether you get a job offer.
A thank you note needs to be sent within a 24-48 hour time frame following an interview. Hand write the note unless your writing is difficult to read. Purchase white/ivory colored thank you notes with silver or gold embossed lettering.
Express your thanks for the opportunity to interview for (name the title of the job for which you hope to be hired). State your two strongest skills which make you a worthy candidate for the job. In the next sentence explain how if hired you would use those skills on the job. Close by stating you believe you would be a credit to their business.
People like to be thanked. Acknowledging a potential employer for an interview, is a powerful way of sending a message about your respect and consideration for others. Use it wisely!
