Graduation Requirements

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

A. The total number of credit hours required for
graduation is 250 in grades 9-12.

B. English:
10 credits English 9
10 credits English 10
5 credits Communications 10
10 credits American Literature

C. Social Science:
5 credits American Government
10 credits U.S. History
10 credits elective Social Science

D. Mathematics:
30 credits (in sequence)
Successful completion of: 1) Overall minimum score of 80% on the Concepts in Math
Standards Test or 2) Final minimum course average of 80% in each of two courses beginning
with Geometry

E. Science:
10 credits Biology
20 credits elective science

F. Physical Education:
10 credits Physical Education 9
5 credits Personal Fitness

G. World Language/Vocational Education:
20 credits World Language and/or Business, Family and Consumer Sciences or Industrial
Technology

H. Fine Arts:
10 credits Music, Art and/or Drama

I. Future Plan:
Each student will participate in monitored career planning activities that result in a written
post high school plan.

J. Electives:
85 credits

These are minimum requirements. All students are encouraged to earn more than the minimum credits needed in order to meet career and post-secondary entrance requirements.
