Who We Are
Welcome to the web page of the Human Resources Office of the Fremont Public Schools (FPS). Our function is to assist our employees as well as prospective employees in any way we can to ensure the best possible education is being delivered to the students.
Our FPS staff of over 600 employees (both certified and classified) serves the needs of approximately 4,600 students. We are always seeking new employees for positions that become available throughout the course of the year. Our certified positions are posted on out website and can be found by clicking on openings. We also advertise in the Omaha World Herald. Our classified positions are posted internally and in the Fremont Tribune when needed.
We only take applications for positions we currently have open, and we hold your applications on file for one year. If you want to be considered for future openings within the one-year period, simply call Shirley Flanagan at 727-3016 to have your file activated. After one year, you will need to reapply.
Teacher candidates will need to send a letter of application and resume, complete and submit our application, and have your transcripts, credentials and/or letters of recommendation sent to our Human Resources Office.
All FPS teachers must be certified by the Nebraska Department of Education. If you will be teaching for the first time in Nebraska, you will need to apply for a Nebraska Pre-Standard Certificate with either an Elementary or Secondary Endorsement. Before a candidate can apply for permanent certification, Nebraska has a basic skills competency, human relations, and special education requirement which must be met.
